Good Morning BFT!

Yes we returned to Holland on Tuesday after a wonderful trip to Bonaire.

The diving on the Island is outstanding and, despite my wife's initial reluctance, we dived twice a day, every day. We saw some of the best coral reefs and a wider variety of fish than on any other dive vacation! The Island is beautiful in its own special way with a fantastic variety of wildlife too including Ospreys, Flamingo's, Lizards, parakeets etc. The people of Bonaire were wonderful and very friendly. I even stopped to chat to one guy who has two Land Rovers under construction (Land Rovers are my other hobby). I managed to talk to him for nearly 30 minutes, over a beer, in my best Dutch and made a new friend ;-)

Eden Beach was simple but clean. The room we were given could not have been better placed (on the end, ground floor, next to beach/bar/dive shop) and despite the cockroaches (and an attempt to break in while we were asleep!) we enjoyed our stay! Problems with the room were quickly resolved by the staff and we have no complaints.
Could we make a small suggestion however? We arrived at 0300 to an empty fridge and everything closed. A bottle of water or similar would have been much appreciated.

Bongo's bar also proved to be great and one of the cheaper places to eat and drink. Staff were friendly and we spent a few nights there getting happily drunk.

The car rental was great and despite our arrival time the rep was there waiting and even drove in front of us to show us where the resort was!

The Dive Operation were great and Karin, Bob and Paul were good fun and helpful. We didn't really use their services a great deal but we were sufficiently impressed and our thanks to all!

Our only complaint would be with the return flight to the Netherlands with the stop over in Curacao. It meant a combined delay of two hours and was a pain in the backside. Is it not possible to fly directly?

In all we had a dream Honeymoon and would like to take this opportunity to thank you and all involved for making this holiday special. I've attached a few photo's from the trip and will let you know when we update our website (of course you will get a mention!)
